About the programme

This department is directly responsible for creating a memorable visual first impressions for guest by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, managing the upkeep of furniture and fixtures, laundry and linen as well as interior decorating and special event decorating.
Our programme will educate students with specific knowledge and skills in professional housekeeping service delivery.

Objectives

At the end of this course students will be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge and skills in housekeeping to a satisfactory guest stay in a number of different accommodations.

Assessment

Assessment of the course is determined by course work which accounts for 40% of the overall grade. As well as the final written examination which accounts for 60%.

This course will involve a mix of lectures and discussions and practical. To benefit fully, students’ participation in all aspects of the course is required. Students must:

Applicants must have at least three (3) CSEC passes, including English Language, or equivalent qualifications. Mature applicants without formal qualifications may be considered based on relevant work experience.
