About the programme

The course is designed to provide course participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to function effectively on premises licensed for the sale of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. This course consists of theoretical and practical modules that meet the requirements of the Bartending Service CVQ Level 1 Certificate.

Assessment

Assessment of the course is determined by course work which accounts for 40% of the overall grade. As well as the final written examination which accounts for 60%.

Instructional Approach

This course will involve a mix of lectures, discussions and presentations. To benefit fully, a student’s participation in all aspects of the course is required.

Applicants must have at least three (3) CSEC passes, including English Language, or equivalent qualifications. Mature applicants without formal qualifications may be considered based on relevant work experience.
