This certificate program provides a comprehensive examination of the legal frameworks governing healthcare organizations, emphasizing the critical role of government regulations in achieving and maintaining compliance. Participants will explore principal laws applicable to healthcare settings, hospitals, clinics, insurers, and individual providers. The curriculum also covers the legal obligations of healthcare organizations and offers practical guidance on designing and implementing compliance programs to meet regulatory requirements.

Assessment of the course is determined by course work which accounts for 40% of the overall grade. As well as the final written examination which accounts for 60%.
This course will involve a mix of lectures, discussions and presentations. To benefit fully, a student’s participation in all aspects of the course is required.

Applicants must have at least three (3) CSEC passes, including English Language, or equivalent qualifications. Mature applicants without formal qualifications may be considered based on relevant work experience.
