Massage Therapy
About the programme
This programme focuses on promoting health and wellness through a holistic approach to massage therapy. It introduces the fundamentals of the profession, the work environment, and supports the personal and professional development of the therapist.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of their role in providing effective treatments using a variety of techniques. Assessments may include simulations, real-world tasks, professional discussions, and written or oral Q&A.

Assessment
Assessment of the course is determined by course work which accounts for 40% of the overall grade. As well as the final written examination which accounts for 60%.

Instructional Approach
This course will involve a mix of lectures, discussions and presentations. To benefit fully, a student’s participation in all aspects of the course is required.

Pre-requisites
Applicants must have at least three (3) CSEC passes, including English Language, or equivalent qualifications. Mature applicants without formal qualifications may be considered based on relevant work experience.
